I bet you’re sitting there thinking what do meat-and-potatoes have to do with finding cheap airfare. The truth is they have nothing in common. Here at fly cheapest I want to arm you with as much information on flying cheap that you will be dangerous when it comes to finding the best price on flights. I use meat-and-potatoes because we will be going over some of the basic ways to save yourself and your family money.
I must tell you I am no expert when it comes to flying cheap. I haven’t flown in a few years and back then I wasn’t worried about money. I now have two kids and a budget so saving money anywhere I can is crucial. Researching is something that I am very good at so I will be sharing my findings with you here at fly cheapest. If you would like more advanced information from an expert (ex-airline pilot) you can click here.
Fly Cheapest Edge 1:
Anytime you are going to fly the best thing you can do is start looking for tickets as far in advance as possible. In my research I have seen suggested 3 months to 3 weeks in advance. The way I look at it the earlier you can start looking the better. This will give you time to look for the best deals through all the airlines. I’ve also seen actual ticket prices be dramatically different depending on how far in advance it is booked sometimes a savings of $200 or more. It is vital that you start as early as possible of course this is not always possible but it is always best to have a plan.
Fly Cheapest Edge 2:
When planning your flight it is always a good idea to be flexible about your travel dates. Most airlines offer cheaper prices for flights in the middle of the week. Try not to lock yourself into leaving on a weekend this can cost you more and it is when most people are flying anyway so the airport is going to be busier. Flying midweek can save you $40 $50 or even as high as $100.
These are just two ways to help you find the cheapest flight. I will continue to research and bring you new ideas as often as possible. If you can’t wait on me and would like to find information from an insider of the airline industry you can click here to find it.
